Music Concrete...

For this brief we had to collect objects based on sounds when hit with something hard e.g a tin can, a plastic or glass bottle etc. We then needed to experiment with musical composition, using our found objects and whatever it was we decided to hit our objects with to compose a piece of music. it should have lasted no longer than a minute and no shorter than 30 seconds. We had to perform this in front of the group where it was also recorded. I chose to use a plastic bottle, a glass bottle, a cheese grater, a can of deodorant, a can or hairspray and a pen and a spoon to hit and scrape the objects. I like the sound of the spray because nobody else had done it and it had a good sound to it. However, I would like to apologise for all the people in the room that I nearly gassed out!
