I then liked the idea of bringing the Father and Son together again, then I went back to my first design thinking of different ways of contact/ communication. I thought of a Father and Son on two separate islands with a bottle of port floating to the Father with a message in it saying, "Hope this reaches you Dad!" However, I know this needed to be tweaked because the message was not strong enough.
